Dancer Video Audition Requirements

Cor Ignis' repertoire is eclectic in style, and the video audition requirements reflect the cross training that is needed from our dancers. Please use the following list of requirements to demonstrate your areas of strength, whether ballet, jazz, or modern, and create your combinations accordingly.

• Dancers must wear leotard and tights or a unitard so that the body may be seen clearly. Hair should be secured away from the face.
• Please label video with your full name, age, and contact phone number.

Barre (Filmed from the side)

1. Plié
2. Tendu from 5th
3. Dégagé from 5th
4. Rond de Jambe a terre & en l'air
5. Adagio with Développé En Croix
6. Frappé & Petit Battement
7. Grand Battement from 5th En Croix with pirouette en dehors

Center Work (Filmed from the front) Dancers may choose to demonstrate either modern or ballet combinations with the following requirements.

1. Combination 1: Adagio

- Ballet please include fondu, promenade, and pirouette en dedans
- Modern please include fondu, under curves, and attitude turns

2. Combination 2: Turn Sequence En Diagonale

3. Combination 3:

- Ballet please include pas de valse en tournant, balancé, and pirouette en dehors
- Modern please include swings and falls

4. Combination 4:

- Ballet Petit Allegro: please include glissade, assemblé, and battus
- Modern Small Jump combination: please include sauté in parallel and turned out, and glissade

5. Combination 5:

- Ballet Grand Allegro: please include Grand Saut de Chat, Jeté Entrelacé, and Grand Pas de Chat
- Modern Traveling sequence with large jumps

Pointe Work (Optional)

Please choose from one of the following:

1. Classical Ballet Variation (Not exceeding 5 minutes in length)

2. Modern or Contemporary Dance Combination (Not exceeding 5 minutes in length)
