Statement
Cor Ignis is a dance company that provides
an artistic outlet for professionals where there is no compromise of
integrity or faith. Based on the Word of God and prayer, the organization
reaches out to the global community through performance and service
opportunities in various venues, with a repertoire designed to honor
God through the arts; while maintaining professional standards of excellence.
Goals
- To maintain high standards of excellence
which not only apply to training and performance, but also to the
mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of company members
and those with whom we come in contact.
- To provide accountability and encouragement
toward an improvement in artistry and creativity in order to combat
pride and complacency in artistic endeavors.
- To develop a heart for the people of
the world and a desire to share God’s message through bible study
and prayer.
- To present thought provoking artistic
works, whether uplifting or eye opening, which reach out to the global
community, wherever they may be in life’s journey.
- To utilize the universal language of
the arts to communicate across language barriers
- To develop an eclectic repertoire which
facilitates growth in the contemporary arts community.
- To perform and minister in all types
of venues and arenas; such as: theaters, streets, churches, stadiums,
community centers, schools, orphanages, hospitals, parks, television,
senior citizen communities and wherever an invitation is extended.
- To offer at least one benefit concert
per season to the poor and underprivileged.
