Emmanuel Children's
Home

We had the privilege
of serving about 80 children and 20 teenagers this past year.
Balanced
meals, clean and spacious comfortable living quarters, clothing,
medical and dental care, regular education, artistic education,
love, support and spiritual guidance, are the basics we provided
for the ones that came under our care.
In the midst of providing all the
basics, our most important desire is to provide our children
with a sense of destiny in God.
We constantly
teach them about how special they are, and about how God wants
to do great things in their lives.
We encourage
them to accept Jesus in their hearts as the beginning of their
journey in the Lord. We constantly ask for prayer support from
the churches that support us as well as from the individuals
and the families that are sponsors of our children.
We are amazed to see
the changes in the children’s spirits as the Lord works
and transforms their lives while they are under our care.
Some changes are quite
dramatic when we look back over the months and at times year,
and remember what the children were like when they first came
for our help.
We continue to provide
for each age group a dorm mother who is a Christian caring and
loving person. We hope that this helps to represent the mother
our children do not have because of their different family circumstances.
We have 3 different
age groups for both boys and girls: 3 to 6, 7 to 13, and 14
to 18. We have 6 dorm mothers, 2 art teachers, 1 ballet instructor,
1 medical doctor, 2 dentists, 4 counselors and myself as counselor
and spiritual guide. These people constantly assist the children
with their practical, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Let the little
children come to Me,
and do not forbid them;
for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:14
